Never Black Down was created in 2017 through the brainchild of its Executive Director Reginia Summers.

Her vision was and is very simple, but extremely necessary.

To promote unity and empowerment within the most economically distressed communities in Washington DC. "Never Black Down" is a uniquely coined phrase that has pushed this brand into cities throughout the DC Metropolitan Area.

Never Black Down has provided a multitude of services in several communities, to include but not limited to Back-to-School events, Safe Summer/Safe passage, Stop the Violence events and Art All Night fashion and design events.

Never Black Down focuses on creating and cultivating safe spaces for youth and families to engage in quality programs that allow them to love, learn, collaborate and create the community they want to live in.
